Green M, Goddess of the Lake.

Green M, Goddess of the Lake.

This is an ambitious product from Takachiyo Sake Brewery as the ultimate home-drinking sake. The price is a surprising 2,200 yen for a bottle. The specifications are undisclosed and the product is extremely limited. This is the "green" version of the series. It is a different version from the "Shu" that we have just tasted. The sake is clear and colorless, with a nice aroma of yeast on the nose, but it is not a ginjo aroma. The overt aroma is also yeasty. The taste is light, and unlike "Shu", it is slightly dry, with a slight bitterness and no astringency. The addition of brewing alcohol keeps the alcohol content at 15%, making it easy to drink.

Purchased at Kanazawa-ya Sake Shop in Shiozawa, Minamiuonuma, limited to one bottle per person.
